I created this blog to post thoughts about current events and every day happenings in my life. I honestly never expected anyone to read it, let alone read it with any consistency. I have always tried to be respectful of anyone who might comment about something I've written, because I appreciate the time you have taken to read it and respond. Although there are instances when I obviously disagree with someone regarding what they have written, I always attempt to keep the rebuttals on topic and not personal in nature.
It seems that recent posts have ruffled some people's feathers, and I honestly don't care about that. After all, if they don't like what I write, then they don't have to read it. I do enjoy hearing from other perspectives though, so I would love to have people continue reading and commenting from their viewpoint. My goal is not to purposefully piss people off when I post something, it's more of a way for me to express how I feel about something. If you don't like that, well, then that's too bad for you! This isn't a democracy, it's my personal blog.
That means that I retain the right to post whenever I feel like it, about whatever I feel like, as often as I feel like it. I also reserve the right to remove comments that I find to be of a personal attack nature (whether they be geared towards me or anyone else who may comment on here). I won't tolerate people bashing other people, simply because they can. It's not the purpose of this blog, and I don't make it my purpose to do it on other people's blogs either.
So, if you choose to, I welcome you to continue reading my blog. Please feel free to comment on any topic that is up for discussion, but let's keep the comments on topic. It's been great to kind of get to know some of you from reading your blogs, and I thank you for allowing me to sneak a peak into your life and thoughts.
Disagreeing on something is fine.
If you choose to disagree, please do it in a productive, educated fashion.
Otherwise, don't bother commenting, because I will just delete your off-topic rant.
Welcome to my world!
Thanks to Christy, Kristen and John (amongst others) who seem to understand how to respectfully disagree.
