Blues are Q-Less

Yep. It's official. The axe has finally fallen on Coach Q. With the season the Note has been having (or not having, depending on how you look at it), the only thing that is suprising about the move is its timing. Why not just let the Captain go down with the ship? Does upper management honestly think that a change at this point will motivate players to pick up their play and make the final push into the playoffs? Players that have survived with mediocre play to this point will most likely just keep cashing their checks and continue reserving their early tee times at their respective country clubs.

Best of luck to Coack Q as he searches for employment (a search that will probably not be too long in duration).
Best of luck to Coach Kitchen as he inherits a slumbering franchise.

I think Larry Pleau and the boys have decided to wait on the impending lock-out before spending any more money or investing any more time in people. Kind of ironic that they offered Kitchen a two year deal beyond this year. It's possible he could get paid to coach the rest of this season and then just sit around as both sides argue the dollars and cents of the business.
